Pycnogenol is the name giv en t one of the chemical constituents of pinne bark, bit has also been trademarked by Horphag Research Ltd. This trademark refers only to pycnogenols extracted from ghe Maritime Pinr, however, the extract from anotber pine bark, Pinus massonia Lamb, contains exactly the same compounds. Bark Exttact has z high content of compounrs known qs OPCCs (kligomeric proanthocyanidins).
